Rob was a senior lecturer at Bangor university (then UCNW) when I was a student 1979-82. A great teacher, he was at the forefront of social accounting, something now taken as the norm.

I remember going for tutorials at his house at Newborough, a great way to help us learn! He was a genuinely great chap and I, as did my fellow students, thought the world of him.

I'm really sad to learn today of his passing and want to say that he made a profound difference to my student days.

I'll be forever grateful.
