I really admire and love Rob and his lively, brave, caring and ironic personality. His legacy is enormous, but it goes beyond academic contributions. We are beneficiaries of his intangible legacy. He has brought to life a special research family, instilling it with its own values, the kind of values necessary to fight from marginality. With Rob we have learn that from the marginality we can induce change and make an impact in accounting and in the society to make the world a better place. His intangible legacy is really impressive. He has been like a father for many of us, guiding, supporting and creating a secure but critical space to grow and develop our thoughts by engaging with others. I cannot understand my life without the CSEAR family. I would never forget the first CSEAR Spain Conference when I was first presenting my PhD project and Rob was my discussant. He was so caring, encouraging, inspiring, supportive and crazy … From that moment I realize I was in the right place. Thanks Rob, for caring, respecting and supporting me so much and for facilitating me to enter the CSEAR family. That is your legacy and it is the most marvellous present we can get. Love to Sue, Mike and Chris
